PSALMS - Chapter 3

YAHWEH, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, "There is no help for him in Elohim." Selah

But You, O YAHWEH, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to YAHWEH with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for YAHWEH sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O YAHWEH; Save me, O my Elohim! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the unrighteous. Salvation belongs to YAHWEH. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah

Chapter 4

A Psalm of David

Hear me when I call, O Elohim of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Selah

But know that YAHWEH has set apart for Himself him who is righteous; YAHWEH will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in YAHWEH. There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?" YAHWEH, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O YAHWEH, make me dwell in safety.
